Hiring a Junior Drupal Developer
by Ivan Stegic on Dec. 12th 2011
(Update: We're looking for an actual person. We want this person to be in our office physically, in Minneapolis, so they'd have to live within driving distance. We're not looking for an outsourcing company, nor a consulting company, nor a development company, and certainly not one outside of the US. We love Minneapolis and our local economy and we're interested in supporting it! So, please don't contact us if you're not a real person that lives close to Minneapolis. Seriously.)
We're looking for a Junior Backend Drupal Developer to join the ranks of TEN7. We're a small team of people -- there's five regulars, two contractors, two interns -- who love to build things for the web. We love Drupal, great user experiences and happy partners.
TEN7:
- is in the North Loop neighborhood of downtown Minneapolis
- works with graphic designers, writers, information architects, user experience analysts and small agencies
- builds Pixel Perfect websites
- loves mobile web
- has a ton of fun
- has one large table that seats twelve people in an open environment
- believes in many things but mostly in hard work and integrity, honesty and transparency.
- has some strong opinions
You:
- are curious
- can figure things out
- are honest about what you know, what you don't know and what you'd like to know
- are a perfectionist, passionate and DRIVEN
- are relatively new to development, but have some minor projects under your belt
- know about PHP. You're not an expert, but you're getting there.
- know about HTML, CSS and JS but would rather be working on the API that jQuery is hitting to get that fancy data. You know what an API is.
- have created a Drupal module and released it on drupal.org or you're planning to. Or, you've done some custom module work. You know what a Drupal module is.
- have your own Github account. Or, at least, know what git is.
- have 20-30 hours of time a week to spend with us in our office in Minneapolis
- expect this to be a trial contract type arrangement that might just turn into a marriage of 40 hours per week and a long-term relationship.
