For TEN7 Comptroller, Deb Grossfield, financial statements are more than numbers. They tell a story about a business’ direction, priorities and values. When they are managed correctly, she says spreadsheets provide the foundation that allows organizations to accomplish great things.
Deb took a non-traditional path to accounting. She has a Masters Degree in Fine Arts. After graduation she joined an art studio cooperative and she offered to help manage the studio’s finances on the side. Deb realized her natural affinity for organization translated nicely to accounting. She eventually started her own practice which led her to work with TEN7.
The TEN7 mission to Make Things That Matter resonates with Deb. She views her role as Comptroller as an opportunity to create organized space for businesses, freeing them to be creative in pursuit of their mission and goals. When she’s not helping clients, she continues to follow her own path as an artist, blending her skills in photography and painting into digital works of art.
