As we await the Supreme Court decision that is poised to reverse Roe v. Wade, I am compelled to speak up and take a stand supporting the constitutional right to abortion care and protecting women to make their own healthcare decisions.
To put it clearly: I believe in the right to choose. I believe healthcare decisions are private and should be left to women and their physicians. I believe scaling back those rights will not mean the end of abortion, but will mean the end of safe abortions for those who can’t afford to work around the laws.
In addition, overturning Roe will have a ripple effect, impacting transgender rights, disproportionately impacting people of color, possibly restricting access to contraception and in vitro fertilization treatments (my daughter, Eva, is an IVF baby!).
At TEN7, we live by core values including Be Honest and Be Inclusive. As we pursue our mission to Make Things That Matter, we never shy away from speaking up about what is right. That’s why I’m happy to announce that TEN7 has made a $1,000 donation to Planned Parenthood. We are also matching any gifts from TEN7 team members — up to $100 for employees and up to $50 for contractors.
